Art Objects & Crafts
We also develop objects in collaboration with artisans, both in France and Argentina. These pieces extend the CACHÍ universe beyond clothing, exploring new mediums, materials and craftsmanship. Each collaboration stems from a dialogue between our contemporary aesthetic and the mastery of artisanal techniques. Whether using textiles or other techniques, these objects reflect our desire to create pieces that are sensitive, unique and steeped in history. Through this approach, CACHÍ affirms its commitment to the arts and crafts and the passing on of skills, whilst imagining new forms based on existing traditions.
Punch Needle – The art of hand embroidery
The entire piece is handcrafted in Argentina using the punch needle technique — an ancestral craft traditionally dedicated to rug-making, here reinvented as a wearable material.
100% wool, each piece is born from a repeated, patient, almost meditative gesture — the needle piercing, looping and weaving to form a dense and living surface, with a generous and sculptured texture.
The black and white contrast asserts itself as a graphic statement, directly inspired by the patterns of Andean ponchos, an iconic garment of Argentine culture. This interplay of bold lines on an immaculate ground transforms the silhouette into a drawing, as if the garment itself had been traced by hand.
All our Punch Needle pieces are handcrafted by Olga Frias, based in Córdoba, Argentina.
Decor as a starting point
Drawing is not just one step among others, it is where everything begins. Before the fabric, before the cut, there is an image, an intention, a territory to inhabit.
For this piece, we collaborated with Lucille Boitelle, a Parisian ornamental painter, who hand-painted this large panoramic décor evoking the Argentine countryside: its ochre lands, its shifting skies, its vast and melancholic horizons.
The sculpted frame surrounding it was handcrafted by TRËMAS, summoning the heritage of French boiseries, a setting that anchors the piece within a dual tradition, Argentine and French.
Presented in January during Paris Men's Fashion Week, this decorative tableau embodies what lies at the heart of our approach: to begin with gesture, with the hand, with the image.
Passiflora – The Flower of Argentina
The Passiflora motif, CACHÍ's emblematic symbol, embodies the harmonious union between France and Argentina.
Inspired by the ancient floral paintings of French porcelain, reinterpreted with the passion flower, native to Argentina, the illustration was created by Membri Savy, based in Córdoba, Argentina, and hand-painted on porcelain by Carla Giulia, based in Paris, France.
The world of CACHÍ objects is in perpetual exploration, other collaborations and artisanal crafts will come to enrich the collection.
